Superintendent’s Message – January 2017

Happy New Year!

Each New Year presents opportunities to set and achieve new goals on a personal and professional level.  Here at the Stafford Township School District, our staff is dedicated to our motto of “Building A Better World One Student At A Time.” Therefore, as we move into 2017, we look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with our students, parents, staff, PTO and the Board of Education in our ongoing efforts to meet the exciting changes in education.

The month of January is Board of Education Appreciation Month.  I would like thank our Board of Education members for their voluntary role and responsibilities in making Stafford an outstanding district.  On a monthly basis, our board members volunteer their time to meet and set policies for our schools and make important decisions affecting curriculum, financing, and staffing.

As we approach the winter season, please know that you will be notified of school closings and/or delayed openings through our automated phone system, as well as our website.  Please be sure that your contact information is accurate and updated with your child’s school.

NJ's 3rd Congressional District Reading Challenge

The deadline for this Reading Challenge is March 17, 2017. It was Congressman MacArthur’s way to encourage students in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District to read in their free time.  This reading challenge is open to all students in grades K-6th and can be found through his website at: www.MacArthur.House.Gov.  Once completed the student will receive a letter and Congressional Certificate from Congressman MacArthur.
For safety purposes, we encourage parents to not pick up their child(ren) a half hour before dismissal unless it is for an emergency only.  We encourage you to utilize our bus transportation.
